Shields are used to blocking attacks. When you hit an enemy with it, the damage taken will be reduced by half. They can’t protect you from all types of damage though. Such as falling or burning. To make a shield in Minecraft use 2 sticks and 3 pieces of leather for Crafting recipes.

To make a shield, place 2 sticks in the top row and 3 pieces of leather under them. Then tap on the crafting table to make it.
